Evening primrose oil reduces LDL cholesterol
We examined the effects of evening primrose oil, high in gammalinolenic acid, on cholesterol levels in nineteen patients with high cholesterol. This study used a rigorous crossover design where participants received both the evening primrose oil and a placebo safflower oil over 16 weeks.

During the evening primrose oil treatment, we noticed a significant reduction in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels and apolipoprotein B in patients without hypertriglyceridemia. These findings suggest that evening primrose oil can be beneficial for individuals struggling with high cholesterol.

Gamma-linolenic acid reduces cholesterol
We explored how evening primrose oil (EPO) affects cholesterol levels by comparing its effects with safflower oil and olive oil in male rats on high-cholesterol diets.

Our findings revealed that EPO was more effective at lowering cholesterol than safflower oil, particularly in the initial two weeks. Even when the phytosterol content was equalized, EPO continued to show better results.

This suggests that gamma-linolenic acid in EPO has a notable cholesterol-lowering effect, which may be significant for potential applications in dietary management.

Evening primrose oil and HDL effects
We investigated the impact of evening primrose oil on cholesterol levels using New Zealand White rabbits. A noteworthy increase in high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol was observed after four weeks of supplementation, which persisted even two weeks after stopping the oil.

However, overall plasma cholesterol and triglycerides remained unchanged. We saw significant alterations in HDL subfractions, with an increase in HDL2b and HDL3c. These results indicate that n-6 fatty acid supplementation could help prevent atherosclerosis in the long run.

Improved hair and health
Excellent! I took this on recommendation, and frankly, the quality is excellent. The ingredients benefit both myself and my hair. Honestly, I didn’t notice much during my first period, and the taste is acceptable. It’s suitable for those aged thirty and above. It contains omega, which lowers cholesterol, and the packaging is secure. The benefits are noticeable, even with shipping.
